The Water Alarm Plus is designed with features that allow it to survive for years of reliable use in harsh environments of basements, crawl spaces and sump baskets. Among these features are:
- Made with high-impact plastic for years of durable use.
- The water sensor can be extended 6' (1.8m) from the siren component so it can be placed in hard to reach or harsh condition areas.
- The battery is stored in a "boat" so water can't affect the operation if the water siren component is placed on the floor.
- The water siren and dialer components can be mounted on a wall with the water sensor extended to an area where you wish to monitor for water. This allows the siren to be placed so it will be heard throughout a building easily.
- The water sensor is designed not to false alarm in high humidity or if a concrete floor sweats.
The Water Alarm Plus requires two 9 volt batteries (not included).
